be grateful I'm here. Two deaths happened this week that occupy my thoughts.
A 36 year old man lost control of his car in my neighborhood and hit a tree. He died at the scene. A 67-year old woman was hit by a car that ran a red light and she died. Life ceases in the blink of an eye. We don't know when and we don't know how it will come, but it will come. I'm thankful that I opened my eyes this morning.
So, for today I will be grateful I'm here. I can still give and receive love for a few more precious moments. The day doesn't have to be perfect or even particularly eventful; I'm here and I'm grateful.

- I am just an average girl who has had a life of ups and downs, just like many of you. I am married with two children and work full-time, part-time and volunteer. I love my family and I love God. The one thing I know to be true is that life is better when you take it one day at a time. How do I know? Because I've tried the other choices. I've tried to choke the world into submission by trying to control everything everyday. I've had high paying jobs that zapped all my time and energy leaving nothing for my family or myself. I've worried myself to sickness over the "what if's" of the future. But then I gave up. I surrendered and decide to let go and let God. Now I take each new day as a new chance to in any small way make a positive impact on the ones I love - which has extended to anyone reading this blog. I pray that by reading this blog and focusing on one day at a time - one simple task or challenge at a time - I can help you deal with the burdens of life and bring you closer to the one who is really taking care of you, God.
